“I plug my heater in and it runs for 15 – 30
seconds, then pops the reset button”
Step by step- here is
what to do:
- Determine the unit
has fuel.
- If no flame
is present, then go to the next step. If, yes, the heater does have a
flame, then go to #8.
- Remove the top
cover. Start the heater.
- Is there spark at
the plug? If yes, then proceed to the next step. If no,
go here.
- Is fuel spraying
into the chamber? If yes, then proceed. If no,
go here.
- At this point, you
have agreed that there is both spark and fuel delivery, if not go back
to steps 4 and 5.
- If there is spark
and fuel is present, but there is no flame, then check the following:
- the condition of the airline
- the condition of the fuel line
- a leak in the nozzle adapter
- a restriction in the nozzle
- a worn nozzle
- a restriction in the fuel filter
- a defective fan
- the breather hole in the fuel cap is
clogged
- water in the tank
8. If there is a flame
present, but the reset (Safety Control) continues to trip, then
*temporarily* bypass the Safety
Control. If the heater runs continuously and you are pleased, then
immediately replace the defective Safety Control. Do NOT run bypassed!
